Keturah represents clients facing state attorney general (AG) investigations and litigation. Pragmatic and results-oriented, Keturah helps her clients work successfully with AG offices and navigate complex regulatory landscapes to achieve outcomes aligned with their business objectives.
When her clients are faced with an AG investigation, Keturah guides them through complex discovery processes while skillfully advocating to narrow the scope of inquiry. If a lawsuit has been filed by an AG’s office, Keturah zealously defends her clients and develops creative legal defenses in often uncharted territory. Should those defenses be denied, Keturah has significant experience briefing issues on appeal that raise critical questions about AG enforcement authority and interpretation of state consumer protection and antitrust laws. She also regularly advises clients on compliance and best practices designed to avoid regulatory scrutiny in the first instance, and helps clients proactively build and maintain relationships with AGs and senior AG staff.
Keturah represents a wide range of clients, from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 100 corporations, in a diverse array of industries, including parking and transportation, financial services/fintech, pharmaceutical, hospitality, telecommunications, renewable energy, and medical and dental providers. She represents companies of all sizes and at every stage in the business life cycle — from fledgling online operators to longstanding institutions — across a wide range of issues, including consumer protection, data privacy and security, antitrust, False Claims Act, price-gouging, credit card surcharging and other payments regulations, and utilities regulations. Keturah particularly enjoys representing emerging businesses and industry disruptors, for whom a state AG investigation can have game-changing consequences.
Keturah is based in Portland, Oregon and maintains an office in Washington, D.C. Keturah is also a lecturer in law at The George Washington University Law School and serves on the Board of Directors for Oregon Women Lawyers.
