Evan focuses her practice on complex commercial insurance coverage disputes and coverage litigation involving commercial general liability and excess and umbrella liability. She serves as coverage counsel on a wide range of issues, including contractual obligations, risk transfer opportunities, additional insured status, and priority of coverage.
Her practice is informed by substantial litigation experience, which she leverages to develop effective coverage strategies and to minimize client exposure. Evan has experience across all phases of coverage disputes, from initial analysis through litigation, representing clients in both prosecuting and defending complex coverage actions.
Prior to joining the firm, Evan gained experience with a defense litigation firm with offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic. She also served as a Certified Law Student with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office in Portland, Oregon, where she drafted motions, prepared discovery, and appeared in court for arraignments, oral arguments, motion hearings, civil commitment hearings, and jury and bench trials.
Evan earned her J.D., cum laude, from Belmont University College of Law, where she was an articles and notes editor for the Belmont Law Review. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon.
