Sonali represents lenders in complex commercial real estate finance transactions, with a focus on multifamily housing and agency lending, in particular, Fannie Mae’s DUS platform and Freddie Mac’s CME program. She has significant experience with the full range of agency loan products and has worked on a variety of matters, including servicing matters, loan assumptions, supplemental loans, loan modifications, manufactured housing loans, and loans with joint venture and preferred equity structures, and more, to ensure compliance with agency requirements and mitigate risk.
Known for her hands-on approach, she brings a high level of precision and responsiveness to transactions of all sizes. She has provided end-to-end guidance to clients on many acquisitions, refinancings, and portfolio deals nationwide, providing practical, business-focused advice at every stage.
Sonali earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where she was the editor of the Journal of Law and Policy. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from Carleton College. Sonali is also fluent in Hindi and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
